What you know about that “Dirty Go” then you mos def know about that boy Chop Chop out that Hugo, Oklahoma that dropped major heat in a “Firestyle” session a*k*a freestyle session that I must say them boys wrecked it. I was truly impressed along with The Houston Sun Newspapers’ Chef Quincy Gibson correspondent in Oklahoma City as we sat back and listened for the very first time why there is such a major buzz around the label Presidential Trap House Records.
Each artist had a divine creativeness plus the originality spitting off the top of their domes… but this is about Mr. Chop Chop for now. “I bring the street mentality urban story no cotton candy tell it like it is no since of humor to the table. I have been serious for about three to four years and just sat down and made myself dedicated to this art form in my young fresh twenty-two years here on this earth.”
This young man has wisdom and clearly stated “Whatever you want to do in time, you can’t be scared of failure. Anybody can say what they wanted and then throw in the towel because of their weak mind claim it is hard.” “At first I saw my delivery as poetry and then revised it as a sixteen bar flow of just street tales” he said.
“I was influenced greatly by HotBoyz they were telling my stories when I was growing up however I did bang NWA when I was ten but I wasn’t seeing all of that during that time in my life.” Mr. Chop Chop final words to any young man or woman that wants to get into this musical game are go get it, time waits for no one, make sacrifices, and don’t get f*****!!!
By the way of Del City, Virginia now living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is a young twenty year old known as Mouse. He is the artist of Presidential Trap House Records that is dipped in twenty-four carats of swagger. “I bring the shine and style to the group they need a good looking young brother like me to keep the group in tip top shape to attract the ladies. I am the mix tape assassin I murder tracks” he jokingly boasts.
“I was the kid in school free styling on the school bus and at lunch beating on the tables crushing my competition with my creative swagger style of flow but I had to get out of Virginia because my grades were slipping and my moms thought I needed a change of environment…so she choose Oklahoma.”
“When I first got out here a lot of rappers was on that man hold up man it’s going down imitating Texas artists swagger but when I met up with Mike Smiley CEO of Presidential Trap House Records his artists had very unique and different styles.” “I am not knocking Texas and their art form but it has already been done.” “I am with the heart of Oklahoma heart of the City now with the whole state on our back” he ended. “Oh yeah and if a mfer is always talking about ya that is a good sign because if they stop talking about ya then you should worry.”
Rocc Bottom the Chemist at twenty-five years old is more of the family oriented artist with the major work ethic instilled in him of Presidential Trap House Records. He shared with me “I got family members riding on me with this music business; I would like to buy my parents a house, and better provide for my daughter Ranea Williams.”
“I would rather be in the studio thirty six hours then running around this mfer.” “Pops tells me to keep chasing it. Where every you are going we riding with you.” “I have many aspirations out side of rapping as well…I love to cook and one day will open a restaurant, and would like to travel the world too wrapping up a major tour; enjoying the fruits of my labor.” “It took me ten years to craft this muscle and I have been through a lot in this music business.
My nose aint really even wet and I am still learning about this game.” “I know it aint going to happen over night and I tell all you must be prepared and know what you are getting yourself into. Don’t let anyone stop you from reaching for your stars and if you aint prepared for the sacrifice then leave it alone.” |
